Crafty Brewing has acquired the Ridgeway brewery to form a combined company that can produce 100,000 liters of beer per week.

Crafty Brewing, located in Dunsfold, Surrey, produces beers, including Arctic Fox Pilsner, Wave Catcher Session IPA, a distant horizon cloudy light, loxhill-biscuit gluten-free golden ale and blind side of the best bitter.

Oxfordshire’s headquarters Ridgeway brewery is known for strong exports, including beer, including Ridgeway IPA, Biter and ESB, as well as Christmas lines such as Santa’s back, bad elf, a criminally poor elf, a carbon lock and a reindeer.

Ridgeway Brewery’s head brewery Peter Scholey founded and conducted the company since 2002, while Luke Herman created Crafty Brewing in 2014 and has led it to the present day.

Herman said: “Growing skillful breweries from a 100-liter packaging in a truck in a 5000-liter assembly to a purpose-built plant that produces traditional beers with a modern turn, combining the forces with Ridgeway was a natural next step.

“Peter brings a deep understanding of industry, knowledgeable brewing skills and world -class beer portfolio. I am excited to work alongside him, learn from his experience, and maintain the Ridgeway brand he has built with such dedication. I look forward to combining our expertise, creativity, enthusiasm and commitment with the award -winning beer. “

Scholey added: “Every company needs a consecutive plan, but with a brewery it is much more than finding a new leader. You need someone who tells you about what “good beer” should be, and I am happy that I found that person in Luke Herman. I look forward to working alongside Luke as I explore new interesting opportunities. “
