Richard Ashcroft has been doing a spectacular job at the impossible this summer: putting on a show before the band that everyone is waiting for. To warm up a crowd before an Oasis gig is one thing; to do so with a set of bulletproof classics, from Bittersweet Symphony to Sonnet to Lucky Manis another.
Now, whether you’ve seen that slot and fancy a longer version or have missed out on the Oasis gig but are still desperate to see Ashcroft live, you can breathe easy. He’s just announced an extended run of UK headline dates to take place next year. The frontman of The Verve initially announced a one-off show at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena in November, and will now follow this with four more gigs – including a night at London’s O2 Arena.

The shows will come after the release of his solo album, Lovin’ Youwhich drops on October 3, 2025, meaning Ashcroft’s solo UK tour dates will be among the first chances to hear some of the new material live.
