Buying Beverly Hills was the latest real estate reality show to grab our attention on Netflix in 2022, and it’s not hard to see why we binge-watched it in one sitting. From the incredible houses to the chaos between cast mates, we really do live for the drama. But what fans really want to know is: will Buying Beverly Hills get a season two? Here’s what we know so far.
What is Buying Beverly Hills season 2 release date?
Good news! We don’t have long to wait for the next series of Buying Beverly Hills as Netflix has confirmed season two will be arriving on the streamer on 22nd March.
What can we expect to happen in Buying Beverly Hills season 2?
As well as confirming the release date for the new season, Netflix also shared a first look clip at the new series, and if this clip is anything to go by, we can expect the new series to at least briefly cover the separation between The Agency owner Mauricio Umansky and his wife, and RHOBH cast member, Kyle Richards.
In the clip, that was released yesterday (20 February), Mauricio is seen talking to three of his four daughters, Farrah, Alexia and Sophia, about separating from their mum.
“I had an amazing 26 years with your mom –– an amazing 26 years. I wanted to do everything possible to just save it,” he said. “She said to me, ‘Listen, the rules are that, you know, you go out, you date, you do whatever it is that you wanna do. Like, I’m not going to be asking you what you’re doing. I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing. Like, we are separated’.”
In July last year there were reports Kyle and Mauricio had split, however both parties denied they were getting a divorce.
In an Instagram post, Kyle denied divorce rumours before going onto say: “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.”
So yeah, if this teaser clip is anything to go by we can expect the new season to not only cover more house sales, but also give us a deeper look at the family lives behind the employees of The Agency.
When was Buying Beverly Hills season 2 confirmed?
In April 2023 The Agency (the real estate agency the show is about) confirmed another series of the reality show would be hitting our screens.
Who will appear in Buying Beverly Hills season 2?
The full cast hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, so it’s hard to know for sure, but viewers can assume Mauricio Umansky, who owns the brokerage The Agency that Buying Beverly Hills is centred around will be back, alongside his daughters Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky. Other cast who’ll likely appear on screen include:
- Santiago Arana
- Sonika Vaid
- Jon Grauman
- Melissa Platt
- Joey Ben-Zvi
- Brandon Graves
- Allie Lutz Rosenberger
- Ben Belack
Will Kyle Richards appear on Buying Beverly Hills season 2?
In season one, Mauricio’s wife and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kyle did not appear on the show, much to the disappointment of fans.
However, the good news is she will be appearing on season two, with Netflix confirming to People in July 2023: “Kyle will indeed appear in Buying Beverly Hills season 2.”
Has filming finished on Buying Beverly Hills?
Yes! In July 2023, Alexia Umanksy shared a picture to her Instagram Story to announce filming had wrapped on the upcoming season.
In the post, which she captioned “That’s a wrap!! BBH S2″, Alexia was pictured with two of her sisters Farrah and Sophia.
Bring on season two!
Season one is now streaming on Netflix.
