Sofia Boutella, who plays Kora in Zack Snyder’s sci-fi universe, teased her character’s romance on Netflix. Rebel Moon – Part Two: Scargiver.
Although did not get well, the first Revebel Moon there are still a lot of fans who are all patiently waiting to see what happens next for all the characters involved.
Part one ended with Kora and her newly assembled team surviving a massive betrayal and killing Ed Skrein’s Atticus Noble in a brutal battle. However, when the heroes returned to the Veldt, what they didn’t know was that a great evil had risen to life, setting the stage for the final final confrontation.

Sofia Boutella teases romance for Korra in Rebel Moon Part 2
In an exclusive interview with The Direct’s Russ Milheim, Rebel Moon – Part Two: Scargiver star Sofia Boutella talked about the romance between her character Kora and Michiel Huisman’s Gunnar.
While the two had romantic potential in the first installment, this second film ultimately explores what a closer relationship between the two would look like, as Boutella confirms in his comments.
When asked how he worked with his colleagues to build this dynamic, Boutella clarified, “It was a really easy conversation (between them)” adds how he feels that element of the film fits well with everything else going on:
“Michiel (Huisman) is someone who is really gentle and kind and sweet and calm. And so it was really just an easy conversation between us. He’s very cool about everything. There was just such a peace between us, and I really enjoyed working with him. And also that dynamic, I think in a movie in a war movie, it’s so nice that the birth of love comes together nicely. So it was a nice color to have in this movie.”
The actor then told how Kora was “very closed” when the crowd met him inside Part onebut in Part two, “he has opened his heart:”
“So when you meet Kora in the first part, she’s very closed off. And I think she’s very cautious. And in the second part, she’s starting to open up to others. The first thing she says in the movie, one of the first things she says is to really love and be loved he doesn’t think it’s something he can do and he was taught that love was a weakness and I think when movie two starts it’s already something he started to do he’s opened his heart to the world and to others.”
Direct then asked about the most important experience or knowledge the actor gained while working on these Rebel Moon movies.
Boutella shared it “these were the biggest sets (he) ever worked on” while also praising “the way Zack Snyder works:”
“For me, these were the biggest series I’ve ever worked on. And for such a long time… And the scale of it was pretty unforgettable… I feel like I have the opportunity to go deep into a character and to find a kind of, I go back to my life because I’ve learned so much about the discipline and the work ethic and the way I approach the character and kind of how I want to approach the stunts again. Moving on to the second project, I’m really learning how Zack (Snyder) is so prepared and he covers so many different areas of filmmaking. a great experience and I feel like I’ve grown so much from it.”

How does Kora’s romance in Scargiver end?
With Rebel Moon – Part One With a 21% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, many are hoping that Zack Snyder’s next outing can at least land better.
At least early reactions on social media indicate that many feel Part two is better than the first. However, these voices make it clear Scargiver there are still problems everywhere.
Anyway, when it comes to the issues this new franchise is juggling, Sofia Boutella and her performance as Kora was never one of them. One can only assume his part Part two remains one of the series’ strongest elements.
Hopefully that includes a happy ending for Kora and her budding new romance with Gunnar.
