Rebel Moon – Part Three the outlook doesn’t look good.
Fans have known Zack Snyder for a while Rebel Moon would not be a single project. Originally just one film, it was split into two parts during the development process.
However, after this two-part story, Netflix has spoken about the future of the franchise.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: Scargiver star Sofia Boutella sat down with The Direct’s Russ Milheim, revealing her interest in a possible third film, but also offering a discouraging update.
When asked if he has spoken with director Zack Snyder about joining forces Rebel Moon – Part ThreeBoutella admitted that he had “not yet” but that it would be “Wonder if they could go find Princess Issa” who was revealed to still be alive at the end of the year Scargiver:
“No, not yet. But if I mean, it would be awesome if they could go find Princess Issa. Because that’s what we say at the end of movie number two, and it’s fun to be back on set. With Zack, because we all love being on this project so much. “
Then a hypothetical television show was born, which the actor will completely influence, depending on whether Netflix does or Snyder is involved again:
“Why not? I have to read. Depending on if Netflix does it. If Zack does it. I’m not closed to working and being creative and especially taking back a character like Kora; who knows, maybe.”
The actor spoke at length about how they came up with the key sequence ScargiverGrand Finale: Kora battles Atticus as the Dreadnaught slowly crashes to the planet’s surface.
Boutella explained that the scene was “filmed on a slanted stage that was about 20 meters long:”
“It was shot on a slanted stage that was about 20 meters long. As we were sliding on the stage, we had to change different elements because it’s never going to be the same space. But we had to shoot the same way. — For example, you’d have a box here, a pole here, and a bag here, because everything slides, but we’d have to go around these elements and reset every single time, so we’d have to climb back up and then slide back down.”
“Designing this whole process was quite a challenge for us (and) the camera operators.” Boutella boasted:
“And we would have had to choreograph it on a flat surface where you had to pretend you were sliding. So the whole logistics of it and planning this whole process was quite a stretch for our camera operators, for so many different departments on set, especially the stunt team, which was pretty damn incredible … But yeah, it was something.”
Boutella also confirmed that the entire series was one of the series “greenest screen” in both Rebel Moon movies:
“And then when you watch the film, and it’s a continuous scene, it’s quite shocking because we didn’t shoot it at all. But it was, it was something… I mean, (working on Sharaan in Mireea) and that. So the slanted stages were the most green screen – it was 20 meters by 15 meters, you know, long, but everything else around us was completely built.”

What’s next for the Rebel Moon Franchise?
Reception of both Rebel Moon the films do not suggest that the franchise will continue past Scargiver.
With a 21% critic approval rating for the first volume on Rotten Tomatoes and a 15% for volume 2, the appetite for more stories in Zack Snyder’s new world doesn’t seem strong. But just because it’s not a critical home run doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an audience.
In the first four weeks on Netflix Rebel Moon – Part One: Child of Fire it reached 73.6 million views and was the top film worldwide for two weeks.
So it’s not a total dud in terms of performance. If Snyder wants to tell more stories in this world, which he clearly does, Netflix could probably be convinced to order new projects.
After all, the reveal that Princess Issa is still alive is a huge twist to end the franchise. Also, the evil Balisarius played by Fra Free is still out there.
Although Sofia Boutella may not have spoken to Snyder The third partthe filmmaker recently revealed that the hope is to make a total of six films in the series.
