Radisson Hotel Group has launched the lifestyle RED brand in Ireland with the opening of a hotel in Galway.
The hotel was developed by the Rhatigan Group and designed by Dublin-based architectural firm Henry J Lyons.
The hotel has 177 rooms and suites, all with Chrome Cast technology. It also has the Claddagh Bar & Grill on the ground floor, Lena’s Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, which can accommodate up to 140 customers, and several meeting and event spaces on two floors.
Guests can check in and out using kiosks, and wireless charging points are available throughout the hotel.
“Opening the first Radisson RED property in Ireland is a monumental occasion and I couldn’t be more proud that it is located in Galway, which happens to be my hometown. The property perfectly combines the bold vibrancy of the brand’s design with the city’s culture and heritage, and is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.” said Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Regional Director for Northern and Western Europe.
Padraic Rhatigan, Principal of the Rhatigan Group, said: “We are proud to bring this new, high-quality destination hotel to our home city of Galway. The Radisson RED is a perfect fit for our city and we look forward to unveiling Galway’s distinctive design and sophisticated offering.
