The Radisson Blu Hotel, based in Mercer Street, is slap bang in the middle of Covent Garden with its doorway opening out onto Seven Dials.

Upon stepping inside, the atmosphere was serene and calming which is exactly what I needed after pushing through busy central London streets on a Friday afternoon.

I hopped in the lift and headed to my room, excited to drop my stuff and relax.

The first thing I noticed when I walked through the door was the enormous bath on my right and I made a mental note to make time for a bath that evening.

On my left was a massive wardrobe space equipped with two cosy bath robes – a feature I personally love in hotels.

Around the corner was the gorgeous bedroom with a huge, king-sized bed.

Of course, the first thing I had to do was collapse onto it and it felt like I was falling into a cloud.

We also had a cute corner with a table and chairs so that we could sit to enjoy some drinks and nibbles in our room that day.

The bathroom was equally stunning with lots of light, and it was decked out with any and all amenities we might need for the evening.

After settling in, we headed out to Seven Dials market for some dinner which is literally a few steps away from the hotel.

It’s one of London’s most popular food markets and is brimming with options from bao buns to tacos to ice cream.

There are lots of amazing restaurants around Covent Garden but Seven Dials is a great option for when you don’t want to commit to just one type of cuisine.

The next morning, I was very excited to see what the hotel breakfast had to offer and I was by no means disappointed.

If you name a breakfast food, this hotel had it.

To begin with, I was overwhelmed with choice – I didn’t know whether to go for a hot breakfast, a sweet breakfast or a continental breakfast.

In the end, I could not resist the spread of hot food, grabbing some sausage, bacon, beans and eggs on toast.

I was very impressed by the quality of all of the food, the Radisson Blu at Mercer Street is a luxurious hotel and this was truly reflected in the food they offer.

The coffee I was poured was absolutely delicious, just what I needed after a hectic night the day before in Covent Garden, and the fruit juices were fresh and delicious too.

Staff were so friendly and eager to help if you wanted anything else – although I struggle to imagine what you could want that was not already on offer.

The hotel even had individual, mini, glass milk bottles filled with various kinds of milk so that people could choose what went in their coffee, tea and cereal.

Other delightful bites available were pastries, meats, cheeses, smashed avocado, yogurt, fruit, nuts, seeds, cereals and more.

I checked out of the hotel with a heavy heart.

It is in the perfect location for someone looking to max out their time in London by being accessible to all the major tourist attractions whilst offering a comforting, high quality place to rest your head at the end of a busy day sight-seeing.
