How to watch the PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation
The PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation is still available to watch on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.
We’ve included the video above, so you don’t need to go anywhere! One of the big reveals in the showcase was that the PS5 Pro will not have a disc drive.
Hosted by PS5 lead architect Mark Cerny, watchers can view a nine-minute presentation that focused on “PS5 and innovations in gaming technology”.

Based on current conversion rates, the £700 price tag for UK PS5 Pro purchasers equates to approximately $914, making the console nearly £250 more expensive.

PS5 Pro specs explained
During the Technical Presentation, Sony focused on three major improvements:
- Console performance optimisation
- PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR)
- Advanced Ray Tracing
Thanks to increased processing power, the PS5 Pro will allow players to reach higher and more consistent frame rates, which are bound to look great on high-end TVs and monitors.
PSSR harnesses the power of AI to enhance resolution even further to allow the best graphical detail without having to sacrifice frame rate.
Lastly, Advanced Ray Tracing provides even more realism with better reflections, shadows and lighting as players explore their favourite worlds.
