The final season of The Crown is here – the first half of it, at least – and with it a small army of hot takes. Is it too disrespectful to the memory of Diana? Does the Queen get a raw deal via Imelda Staunton’s Ministry-of-Magic vibes? Has the whole thing become a tabloid-y nightmare designed to trigger royalists and republicans alike?

If you’re looking for a spot to escape from The Crown discourse, a conversation sure to fire up again when part two launches in December 14 and William and Kate take the spotlight, we can recommend a delightful seaside villa overlooking the Mediterranean.

Welcome to The Yellow Castle, a huge pile perched on the cliffs above the crystal blue waters on the Balearic island of Palma. It’s an authentic piece of location scouting by the Netflix series, because Diana regularly stayed in nearby Puerto d’Andratx.

The villa has a starring role in episode one of The Crown’s final season, when Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) is welcomed for a stay by Mohamed Al-Fayed (Salim Dau). (You can check the scene out about 12 minutes in.)

The Yellow Castle, which boasts seven bedrooms and ten (ten!) bathrooms, is available to hire on Airbnb. The downside? It’s 4500 euros per night, although it does have a private rock cave and those don’t come cheap.
