Most of us live near a Primark, and the one thing that defines them all is the sheer size of the places. Not only do you leave having nabbed a mean deal on clothes, but you also walk a veritable marathon just exploring the stores. Well, if you’re after bargains and a hefty step-count you might want to head to the Primark Westfield Stratford, which is set to double in size this year.
The store first announced the plans for the larger location back in 2022. The works, which should hopefully (fingers crossed!) finish this Spring, will see the store’s space jumping from 45,100 square feet to 81,000 square feet. You read that correctly… that’s over 80,000 square feet of cut-price shopping.
When it’s completed, Primark Westfield Stratford will be the second-largest Primark in all of London! (The biggest one can be found on Oxford Street, near Tottenham Court Road Station.)
Shoppers at the Primark will soon be able to make their around a shop that is upgrading from two to four floors. And it won’t just be more space with more racks full of the same stuff. With the upgrade in the store’s size, Primark is also promising “even more choice across its extensive fashion, beauty, lifestyle and home ranges.”
Back when the plans were first announced for the bigger Primark Westfield Stratford, the brand also teased an extension to their famous collaboration with Greggs. However, it’s all been rather quiet ever since… All we can do is hope that even more of the baked goods garments materialize in the future.
Naturally, more space also means more jobs. With the store’s expansion, there are also 250 extra vacancies available for those looking to work with the retailer. And as of today, those roles are officially up for grabs!
