Whether you’re a last-minute shopper, or you haven’t been able to pick up gifts because of your work schedule, putting in additional restrictions (the week before Christmas) wasn’t ideal even if it was necessary.
As millions of people were thrown into Level 4, many have been forced to click and collect or pay for express delivery to get their festive gifts in time.
During the first and second lockdowns, many Primark fans, including former EastEnders star Daniella Westbrook, lamented that the store did not offer an online service – and it has been no different as the nation grapples with higher levels.
But the brand has now announced an online shopping service that will enable millions to buy Christmas presents online.
Customers can now buy gifts up to £200, which can be sent by post.

Under the Tier 4 rules, all non-essential shops must close including clothing stores and hairdressers while eateries and pharmacies are allowed to remain open. Toys can still be bought with click and collect but shoppers can only pick up orders and are not allowed to browse the store.
As Primark is primarily a clothing store, fans were disappointed by the news after getting used to the 24-hour opening in some regions.
Taking to Instagram, Primark said: “Still looking for something they’ll love?
“You can send gift cards by post or email if you are in the UK or Ireland.
“Read more at primark.com.”
Although gift vouchers, from £5 can be sent by post, the store also offers e-vouchers which can be downloaded online in minutes if not seconds.
Instagrammers reacted to the news and were filled with joy at the news.
People simply said “wow”.
