Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Pizza Pilgrims has opened its new restaurant on King’s Road.
A 2,021 sq m space has launched at 219 King’s Road, bringing a slice of coastal Italy to the heart of Chelsea for the first time. The ground floor, which has room for 40 decks, features decorative details and striped parasols to reflect its playful “Chelsea Flour Show” arch made entirely of pizza flour bags. The basement has 32 additional decks and will be transformed into a Cinema Paradiso, adding an experiential element to the prominent Sloane Stanley Estate gate.
Echoing its other pizzerias around London, the Chelsea menu features its own neo-politic, 72-hour double-fermented dough with classic Margherita, Fiorentina and Double Pepperoni & Spicy Honey flavours. Bringing a sense of familiarity and quality to Sloane Stanley Estate, Pizza Pilgrims is yet another standout addition to the venue’s growing food and drink offering, enhancing day to night on the King’s Road and beyond.
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, said: “Pizza Pilgrims is a very welcome addition to the property. This unit is the gateway to our property, providing a gateway to some of Chelsea’s best brands. Pizza Pilgrims has really succeeded in bringing a playful and eye-catching restaurant that fits the creative spirit of the King’s Road Its “Capri” vision certainly offers something unique to the neighborhood and a quality offering that works perfectly here.
Thom Elliot, co-founder of Pizza Pilgrims, added: “Bringing Pizza Pilgrims to Chelsea feels like a real milestone for us. Our father used to run a pub on the King’s Road and the area has always drawn us in. We have now secured the perfect corner location for our Capri-style pizzeria and bring the Pizza Pilgrims delight on one of London’s most iconic roads. A true neighborhood location – it’s a community we can’t wait to be a part of.”
This news follows the recent opening of Fantômas at Sloane Stanley’s King’s Road, a new modern European concept led by chef Chris Denney. The 2,000 square meter restaurant at 300 King’s Road seats up to 80 and is an important part of Sloane Stanley’s growing F&B hub, which features industry-leading chefs and restaurants that include Josephine by Claude Bosi, Bluebird, Beaufort House, Alley Cats and Dez Amore.
