Relax and Indulge at Pivot with a Bottomless Brunch or Lunch
Pivot is one of those hidden gems you discover and keep returning to, and at London Unattached, we’re all big fans. This cosy and relaxed bar and restaurant boasts a prime location right in the centre of Covent Garden, overlooking the bustling piazza. Step outside its door, and you’re instantly immersed in the lively market and street entertainment. It’s the sort of place you can go for a catch-up with friends or family, or even for a hot date.
Pivot is located on the first floor of a beautiful five-storey townhouse on Henrietta Street. Step inside to find warm burnt orange painted walls adorned with contemporary pop art prints, a dark wood floor, burgundy leather banquettes, and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work. With Chef Mark Greenway at the helm, Pivot is known for its seasonal menu, highlighting high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
They currently offer a bottomless prosecco brunch/lunch, featuring 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco and a delicious main course for just £35 per person. Guests can choose from beer-battered haddock with chips and tartare sauce, fresh eggs and avocado on an English muffin, or a cheddar cheeseburger with crispy bacon, fries, and all the trimmings.
I went along with a friend on a Sunday afternoon, and the piazza was alive with street performers entertaining the crowd, while the market buzzed with visitors. Although the Pivot brunch offers unlimited prosecco, you can upgrade to bottomless champagne for £75 per person if you’re feeling especially fancy, as we were. We began with two glasses of crisp Moët & Chandon; its fine bubbles and hints of green apple and citrus made for a perfect start to our indulgent afternoon.
I’d been craving a burger for a while, and here at Pivot it didn’t disappoint… perfectly cooked, made with good quality meat and topped with oozing cheddar, crispy bacon, and fresh salad, all nestled in a brioche bun – just as I like it. On the side were some seriously good chips. My companion tucked happily into a generous portion of haddock, which was coated in a fabulous crunchy beer batter, also served with chunky homemade chips.
There’s something rather decadent about enjoying delicious, well-cooked classic fare and free-flowing fizz (which did flow). I’m sure you’ll agree it’s the ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
So, if you’re looking for a great location, quality food, and a super relaxed restaurant in the heart of London, Pivot might be the perfect place to unwind – ideal for a post-work or shop, pre-theatre, or weekend treat. Their dinner is also quite impressive!
Diners can enjoy 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco and a delicious main for just £35 a head, or upgrade to bottomless champagne for £75 ahead. This offer can be redeemed from 12 – 6 Monday – Sunday, so it’s always prosecco o’clock at Pivot.
