Brighton & Hove’s food scene is a big deal, and not just in our opinion. Every year the Brighton’s Best Restaurants team develop affordable prix fixe menus to celebrate the cream of the city’s restaurant crop, and this year is no different: OctoberBest is back!

Yes, the beloved affordable food festival is back for its ninth year, bringing us more amazing menus from 31 of the city’s best restaurants this October.

It’s a little different this year, with menus to choose from in one of three price ranges – £25, £30 and £35, instead of the £25 flat rate previously offered.

“The new price ranges we’re introducing give restaurants the flexibility to offer great value at lunch and dinner, meaning diners have more choice than ever before,” said Andy Lynes, founder of Brighton’s Best.

We love that even in this cost of living crisis, we still have an affordable way to discover more of the city’s amazing restaurants, voted in the top 30 in Brighton’s best restaurants. These include the always excellent Med, Burnt Orange, Flint House and Palmito.

As always, OctoberBest offers a huge selection and this year’s selection looks particularly delicious with several new arrivals. New for 2024 are Tom Shepherd’s fine dining restaurant Dilsk, Southeast Asian vegan restaurant Bonsai Plant Kitchen, wood-burning restaurant Embers and Permit Room, an all-day bar-café from Dishoom – there’s something for everyone.

You’ll have to wait a little longer to check out the participating restaurants’ menus, as they won’t be released until closer to the time. In the meantime, check out all the 2023 winners and the list below of all participating restaurants and drool!
