Nicole Kidman’s facial plastic surgery claims after publication of Family Affair

Netflix A family thing star Nicole Kidman has long been facing accusations of plastic surgery.

Kidman, 57, has had a long and distinguished acting career since her breakthrough role in 1989. Dead calm. The actor has received five Oscar nominations over the years, including one win for the 2003 psychological drama Hours.

Nicole Kidman responds to claims about plastic surgery

In a 2007 interview with Marie Claire, when rumors of cosmetic enhancements began, Kidman said she was “all natural” and simply take care of her appearance, skin and general health:

“To be honest, I’m all natural. I don’t have anything on my face or anything. I wear sunscreen and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that.”

Although the actress gave Marie Claire a simple, “No” Having used Botox, Kidman later admitted to a German publication in 2011 (via TV Guide) that she had tried it before, but “didn’t like the way (her) face looked afterwards” and stopped:

“I didn’t like the way my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t wear it anymore – I can move my forehead again!”

Fast forward to 2013, the actress told Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via The Standard ) how there “no surgery (for him):”

“No surgery for me; unfortunately I tried Botox but I got rid of it and now I can finally move my face again.”

Has Nicole Kidman had plastic surgery?

Nicole Kidman has never publicly admitted to undergoing plastic surgery or cosmetic enhancements aside from her Botox trial.

However, many Hollywood enthusiasts and even cosmetic surgery professionals are still convinced that the actress has gone under the knife over the years.

Licensed plastic surgeons were interviewed by the New York Post in May 2022 following Kidman’s photo from the Amazon Prime Video shoot. Foreigners revived earlier speculation that she had undergone surgical and non-surgical enhancements.

The outlet spoke to facial plastic surgeon Dr. Dara Liotta, who has not treated Kidman but was certain she had recent surgical procedures. Liotta stated that the 2022 pictures of the actress left “little doubt” that he had “face lift and neck lift surgery.”

He noted “deeper facial structures have been pulled and lifted up” when he “jawline… and neck look tighter” as would be possible without surgery:

“From the direction, you can tell that the deeper structures of the face have been pulled and lifted – most clearly at the tail of the eyebrows and the corner of the mouth. The jawline – no jowls! – and the neck look tighter – and much more youthful than is possible without surgery or a serious Facetune.”

Liotta added that some areas of her face “looks flat” in a way that is “a classic in early facelift healing, a year and less.” This could mean that Kidman had the surgery shortly before the 2022 photos of her went viral.

Award-winning New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer also pointed out how “youthful glow and smooth skin” Kidman may be the result “filters, Botox or dermals such as Juvéderm:”

“In the picture, Nicole has a youthful glow and smooth skin. These can include filters, Botox or dermal fillers like Juvéderm to help smooth out wrinkles and replace lost volume in her cheeks. She certainly has access to the best skin care and aesthetics.”

Dr. Norman Rowe of Rowe Plastic Surgery offered a similar sentiment when suggesting Kidman “has had a face lift before” but it was clear “hard to say” has the work been fresh.

He added that his recent performance is a result “continually maintains its previous procedures” as regular relapse can result in appearance “change a little over time:”

“If it was a year or more ago, her appearance may have recently changed with laser, Botox and filler treatments on her face, as even a facelift has to be maintained. Her changed appearance in her Instagram photo is because she continues to maintain her previous treatments as she continues her laser, Botox or the use of a filler in conjunction with a facelift, the appearance may change slightly over time.”

As of this writing, it has not been confirmed that Kidman has ever had any cosmetic enhancements beyond her admission of Botox over a decade ago. However, as mentioned above, many certified professionals have noticed clear signs of change.
