Lukas Juhaniak has been appointed head chef of the two-Michelin-starred Trivet restaurant in Bermondsey, London.

Juhaniak (pictured above left) joined the restaurant in 2021 and has worked with its founders Jonny Lake (pictured right) and Isa Bali for the past three years.

Trivet was founded in 2019 by Lake, the former head chef of the Fat Duck Group, and Bal, who previously served as Fat Duck’s head sommelier.

The restaurant won its first Michelin star in 2022, followed by a second star this year.

Born in Slovakia, Juhaniak completed his culinary training in Púchov before gaining two years of experience in Greece.

After moving to London in 2016, he began his journey at Pierre Gagnaire’s Sketch restaurant, followed by a year at the three-Michelin-starred L’Oustau Baumanière in Provence.

He has returned to London to join Trivet, which also has a wine cellar with over 450 wines.
