Natalia Speaks, the anticipated follow-up season of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, has finally arrived. In this chapter, extensive DNA testing reveals Natalia’s true age, she is able to sit down with Michael Barnett, and, significantly, she gets the chance to voice her experiences. As per the synopsis, the six-part documentary series “dives headfirst into the questions, controversies, and secrets unearthed in the first installment, but this time, Natalia shares her side of the story.”
You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment (Netflix) – January 1
Based on the recent Stanford University study of identical twins, Netflix’s You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment sees four sets of twins embark on an experiment to see the impact of two different diets: vegan and omnivore. Though it’s been accused of “bias”, it’s an insightful viewing nonetheless, placing focus on the impact our diets can have on our health.
Daughters of the Cult (Hulu) – January 4
This shocking five-part docu-series examines the polygamous Ervil LeBaron cult. As per the synopsis: “Hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwest and Mexico, a splinter group of Mormon fundamentalist cult members perpetrate a deadly wave of violence and abuse for decades in the name of their fanatical prophet Ervil LeBaron, dubbed the Mormon Manson. Survivors, relatives of killers, and law enforcement now come forward to paint an emotional and grisly picture of a brutal madman ordering cold-blooded executions.”
