London’s one million small businesses are more than economic contributors, they’re the backbone of our communities. They employ more than half of the city’s workforce, contribute to local culture, and create the vibrant high streets we know and love.

Launched to provide accessible support to small and medium-sized enterprises, Grow London Local has become a vital lifeline for London’s business community.

Over the past year, the team has worked tirelessly to engage with London’s SME community across all 33 boroughs, providing tailored resources to help entrepreneurs navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and thrive in a competitive market.

Celebrating its first anniversary, Grow London Local is hosting four ‘Coffee Friday’ networking events across London, bringing SMEs together to mark the milestone and plan for future growth.

While ‘Coffee Friday’ events are already a monthly staple for London’s small business community – and will continue throughout the year – Grow Local London business support managers are working hard to make February’s events extra special.

The upcoming anniversary events are designed as a networking moment for SMEs to connect, share experiences, and explore new opportunities. They will be on hand at each event, offering practical guidance and highlighting the resources that have supported entrepreneurs throughout the year.

A ‘game-changer’ for SMEs

One of Grow London Local’s success stories is Andrea Pickard Coaching Ltd.

“Grow London Local has truly been a game-changer for me, boosting my confidence and supporting my growth as a new business owner,” said Andrea.

“Its coffee mornings connected me with other entrepreneurs and provided invaluable advice, and attending a NatWest bank dinner was an incredible opportunity that pushed me out of my comfort zone.

“As someone with dyslexia, it’s empowering to feel recognised and supported. I’m also excited to begin mentoring through ‘Digital Boost’, a fantastic recommendation from Grow London Local. Its impact has been transformative for both me and my business.”
