A restaurant that is truly part of Greater Manchester’s cultural fabric has undergone a rebrand to celebrate its 22-year legacy.

Changing its name to return to its roots, My Nawaab – formerly Merzee – has the same fantastic team, food, and service that have made it such a special place to visit over the past two decades.

With a restaurant serving delicious Pakistani-Indian food and a banqueting hall that has transformed countless special moments into magnificent celebrations, My Nawaab offers unforgettable experiences – from memorable dining to weddings, birthdays and gatherings.

To celebrate being part of these special moments over the past two decades, My Nawaab is launching an exciting opportunity for married couples to experience its charm.

My Nawaab plans to select 11 couples to attend a special buffet banquet on Valentine’s Day 2025, to mark its 22 years of hosting wedding celebrations.

It’s easy to enter – simply send one wedding photo taken between 2002 and 2024 to photo@mynawaab.com along with the couple’s name and wedding date before midnight on December 31, 2024, and you could be in with a chance of winning.

My Nawaab’s judges will then decide which 22 guests will attend the romantic meal on February 14, 2025 (terms and conditions apply*).

Usman Malik, who runs My Nawaab, said: “Over the past two decades, we have seen thousands of happy couples celebrate their big day with us, and we never take this privilege for granted. We are proud to be a quality venue that brings people together to celebrate the happiest moments of their lives.

“We wanted to find a special way of celebrating this milestone and all that joy, and we can’t wait to announce our 11 winning couples.”

But there is more. As part of celebrating this milestone, couples who book their upcoming 2025 wedding at My Nawaab before the end of 2024, will receive a unique discounted wedding hall rate of £20 per head rather than £28.95 (terms and conditions apply**).

Part of Manchester’s cultural fabric

Not only does My Nawaab have a history of more than two decades in Manchester, but Usman Malik has also been involved in the business since its inception when he was 16 years old.

As the venue moves into its next chapter with a fresh look and new ideas, he and the team remain dedicated to maintaining the warmth of traditional hospitality that the business has always provided.

My Nawaab offers one of the largest Desi buffets in the country, with more than 110 menu items on offer for dinner as well as a recently-launched Sunday brunch which has been a huge success.

Where traditional recipes meet contemporary dining, guests can enjoy hearty curries, biryanis, breads, salads, desserts and more are available, all made with care by a team of specialist chefs.

For events big and small, the recently refurbished banquet hall can accommodate up to 800 guests.

Whether you’re planning a lavish wedding, a corporate gala, or a milestone moment, the versatile space can be tailored to suit specific needs, styles and preferences.

It can be transformed with stunning décor options, from classic elegance to contemporary chic, and its exceptional cuisine can be crafted to specific tastes and dietary requirements.

The banquet room is in addition to the stunning foyer, which features luxurious marble flooring with a striking geometric pattern, ornate ceilings with decorative mouldings, ambient lighting, and tasteful artwork, including a wall-mounted waterfall and lush greenery throughout.
