The supermarket, which first opened in Muswell Hill Broadway almost 14 years ago, was due for an upgrade to introduce new features.
The store reopened at 8am with improvements including a fresh layout, new look bakery, electronic shelf labels, new fridges, and better fruit and veg section.

The closure had sparked comic comments on local Facebook pages with one posting on Muswell Hill & Friends: “Sending Facebook thoughts and prayers to Muswell Hill residents in these very challenging and distressing times. Waitrose on the Broadway is closed for refurbishment until the end of March.”
It was followed weeks later with: “I feel we need to celebrate the final countdown to Waitrose reopening.”
Another wrote: “I’m lost without my Duchy Organic, how much longer will this go on for?”
While a third joked: “My fav place ever, I feel empty without it.”
Some weighed in saying they preferred the local branch of M&S with one commenting: “Don’t know how you’ve all managed! But you’ve had M&S to fall back on.”
Prompting the reply: “This is such a bourgeois thread but I’m here for it. Can’t wait!”

Branch manager Aman Sandha thanked Muswell Hill customers for their patience while they worked on the store’s transformation.
“With an improved and refreshed store layout and even more products, everything has been designed with customers in mind.
“We can’t wait to share the new look with you all and hear what you think,” she said.
Shoppers will be able to pick up Waitrose Entertaining orders at the store which is located at 390 Muswell Hill Broadway and is open Monday to Sunday from 7am -10pm.
