'Mummy Pig' and 'Daddy Pig' from television series Peppa Pig, at Battersea Power Station in London, as the chimneys are lit up blue and pink ahead of Mummy Pig's baby gender reveal party later today.

Peppa Pig’s mum, otherwise known as Mummy Pig, announced her pregnancy back in February with a surprise appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain – and it’s been the story on everybody’s lips ever since. Peppa and George’s new sibling—whose gender we’ll reveal in just a moment, stay with us—is due in the summer, and was officially revealed on the show in the latest series’ final episode, which aired on Mother’s Day (March 30).

Today (April 25) at Battersea Power Station, the gender of Peppa’s new sibling has finally been revealed, and we can tell you that Mummy Pig is having a baby girl.

To celebrate the news, the world’s first ever permanent, standalone Peppa Pig store inside Battersea Power Station is throwing one hell of a party. Starting from 2pm today (April 25), there will be lots of lovely baby-themed fun and games to take part in, reminiscent of your typical gender reveal party (I’d imagine): themed food and drinks, photo opportunities, character appearances, and interactive activities for all the family.

And, once the sun goes down at 8pm, the iconic Battersea Power Station chimneys will light up to celebrate baby girl’s imminent arrival.

It’s all in support of NCT (National Children’s Trust), the UK’s leading pregnancy and parenting charity. There will be a donation point at the till inside the Peppa Pig store for those who wish to contribute to the cause, and NCT experts will also be on hand to offer guidance and advice throughout the afternoon.

When will Peppa Pig’s sibling make an appearance on the show?

The gender reveal episode will go live on YouTube from May 3as part of the Peppa Pig Tales series. But that’s not all: Peppa Pig fans can watch this new era of the Pig family unfold on the big screen(!) with Peppa Meets the Babya brand-new cinema experience launching on May 30 in thousands of cinemas around the world. The experience will be an hour-long bonanza, featuring 10 brand-new, song-filled episodes, as Peppa and George prepare for the arrival of their new baby sister.

The beloved show has been on screens for over two decadestelling the story of Peppa Pig and her little brother George, along with Mummy and Daddy Pig. This new chapter for the family marks the biggest shake-up in the show’s historyand promises to share the ups and downs of introducing a sibling to a family.
