Mumford & Sons performing at Grammys 2023

Mumford & Sons have just announced a very small, very intimate, very free of charge, and – crucially – very last-minute show tonight in London.

Perhaps they just looked outside, saw the sun shining, and fancied a pint and a gig. And you know what? Fair enough. The trio of Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwayne and Ben Lovett that makes up Mumford & Sons will perform to 420 people at Flat Iron Square this evening before they head out on their tour of intimate venues (which also includes a show at the Kentish Town Forum later in the month).

Frontman Marcus Mumford shared the news via Instagrtam stories earlier, running through a field saying: “London – Flat Iron Square at 7pm. Bye!”. Flat Iron Square have since shared the post, telling fans to arrive earlier to avoid disappointment.

How do I see Mumford & Sons tonight?

Spaces for the Mumford & Sons gig tonight are up for grabs as we speak…. and it’s first-come-first-served. As mentioned previously, the show is only 420-capacity at Flat Iron Square – and this is an arena-level, festival-headlining act we are talking about here. Congratulations if you make it into the free gig, as many undoubtedly will be attempting to do so.

This, and their subsequent intimate tour that kicks off tomorrow in Amsterdam, comes ahead of the release of the band’s fifth album Rutingwhich drops on March 28. The tour consists of nine dates across the world, which includes shows in Berlin, Paris, New York, Chicago, and more. Mumford & Sons will also play a show at Rough Trade East on March 31 once Ruting has been released.

Mumford & Sons play Flat Iron Square tonight at a first come, first served gig. Find it at 45 Southwark Street, SE1 9HP (nearest stations are Borough and London Bridge).
