Simon Ulph has been named to the main chef in Michelin star Northcote Lancashire.
He works under the leadership of Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who joined Northcode in 2001 and came to the main chef in 2004.
ULPH joins Northcote’s Gilp Hotel & Lake House, where he served as an older sous chef, led by head chef Ollie Bridgwater at the Michelin star restaurant.
Ulph spent a year and a half in Gilpin, with the experience he described as a “massive effect” in his life
When sending a new role on Instagram, he said, “I am very excited to say that I have started at NorthCote as a main chef working in Lisa Goodwin Allen.
“It’s been an incredible first week to get to know the team and learn how the kitchen and the hotel work. I’m very excited about the future and continue this iconic hotel forward. Let’s go! “
He began his culinary career as a commission chef in Swan in West Malling, a restaurant owned by Pete Cornwell, i’m be be be be Mother.
In 2012, when he worked in a pop -up window during the London Olympics, Ulph met the well -known ‘Iron Chef’ Masaharu Morimoto. This encounter led to an invitation to work at Morimoto’s restaurant Morimoto Napa California, where Ulph developed a deep passion for Japanese and Asian.
Ulph has also worked at Robert Thompson’s restaurant in Thompson’s in Newport on Wight Island and twenty -six in Tungbridge Wells, Kent.
