Dean Wilking
Dean Wilking is the father and teacher of Melanie and Miranda, who talks about his concerns related to the leadership of 7M and the Shekinah Church in the documentaries.
Dancing with the devil shows Dean’s efforts to try to contact Miranda as the church forbids him from getting close to her and returning home.
In August 2021, Dean and Kelly are shocked to learn that Miranda and James are getting married, and they notice it on social media.
Kelly Wilking
As Melanie and Miranda’s mother, Kelly Wilking reveals how her daughter’s dream of dancing helped them grow closer.
He also reflects on how Miranda constantly chooses her passion over everything in her life.
In Episode 1, Kelly notes, “The more (Miranda is) involved with the church, the more distant she became from us.”
Melanie Wilking
Melanie, half of the Wilking siblings, anchors the documentary, recounting how her siblings are whisked away to an invite-only church that later turns out to be an alleged dance cult.
He tells how his relationship with his sister Miranda became strained when he joined the management of 7M.
Concrete
Konkrete is James Derrick’s best friend and a former member of 7M’s management. He joined James at the World Championships in 2018.
In Dancing with the devilKonkrete addresses the controversies surrounding 7M and the Shekinah Church, and he even calls them a cult.
Kyle Gray
Join the interviewees Dancing with the devil is Kailea Gray, Konkrete’s girlfriend.
Kailea shares her first experience at a dinner/bible study with Robert Shinn and other 7 million members. “This is not the vibe I thought we’d be doing.”
Kylie Douglas
Kylie Douglas is Aubrey Fisher’s girlfriend and former 7M member. She dissolves her relationship with Aubrey and their ties to Robert Shinn’s company.
Kylie also acknowledges one significant thing she learned from Shekinah Church, saying: “You must die for your family to save them.” which means they have to sacrifice to get to heaven one day.
Despite this lesson, Kylie is broken by the fact that she had to walk away from her family to help them get to heaven.
Aubrey Fisher
Another former member of 7M who talks about the agency in documentaries is famous content producer Aubrey Fisher.
Aubrey reveals how her friendship with BDash and Isaiah Shinn (Robert Shinn’s son) led her to join 7M and the Shekinah Church, while sharing her experiences with the company.
Lawrence Raiano
Lawrence Raiano is another parent who joins the cast of the documentary to reveal the story of how they lost their son Nick to 7M and the Shekinah.
Lawrence reveals that her son told her that he was always busy filming content while she tried to check if he was okay.
Migdalia Raiano
Migdalia Raiano, Lawrence’s wife and Nick’s mother, makes an appearance Dancing with the devil shows her alongside Miranda’s parents as they try to bring their grown children back due to 7M.
Part of episode 1 even shows parents calling the human trafficking hotline to see if they can help them. He also tries to send Nick flashbacks to let him know he’s always thinking about him.
Andrea Marks
Rolling Stone editor Andrea Marks makes an appearance Dancing with the devil Episode 2 talks about his cover for 7M Management and claims it is a cult due to the growing concern of family and friends that members of the company have distanced themselves from them.
Marks talks about the process of filming the story, including messaging the dancers in 7M and researching more about Robert Shinn.
Melanie Lee
Melanie Lee, a former Shekinah member, joins the interviewees to share her experience with the church and why she fled it in 2011.
Melanie talks about her nightmarish experience and how to move on and leave everything behind to start anew with the Shekinah.
Priscilla Lee
Another longtime Shekinah member (she was a part of it for 23 years) who also left the church is Priscilla Lee, Melissa’s sister.
Prisyclla joins the conversation by admitting that she had difficulties as a member of said church.
Priscylla reveals that one of the teachings of the Shekinah is that a member will go to hell if they leave the church.
Marque Richardson
Marque Richardson, an actor known for his roles Real blood and Dear white peopleis a close friend of Melanie Lee who helped her escape from the Shekinah Church.
Marque also shares the story of his close friendship with Melanie and Priscilla when he was growing up. He also reveals that Melanie once invited him to one of the Shekinah worship services.
