Brits get a taste of envy over the McDonald’s menu in Tenerife, Spain.
A TikTok user from Tenerife, @theknightstrider1, has given foodies an insight into the local version of McDonald’s, revealing mouth-watering options not on the UK menu.
Starting with breakfast, Tenerife’s McDonald’s surprises with a range of sweet delights, such as ‘McDalena’ muffins in two flavors and ‘Mini Cronuts’ – a croissant-doughnut hybrid. There’s also an assortment of “McPops” donuts filled with various creams, in addition to the familiar sausage and bacon McMuffin offering.
Another “new” addition was the McRib, which was on the main menu. The much-loved sandwich last appeared in McDonald’s UK restaurants back in 2015 and quickly became a fan favourite. And this week, after this video was posted, McDonald’s finally announced it was returning to the UK.
Tenerife’s ‘Triple Chicken Mayo’ burger has become a hit with British tourists, according to TikTokers. It’s a classic chicken mayo burger enhanced with three pieces of breaded chicken, rather than one.
One menu offering in particular caught the attention of commenters on the video. One viewer exclaimed: “Omg the McRib, bring it back to UK McDonald’s.” Little did they know that McDonald’s would announce that just days after their comment was posted.
Still, the McRib wasn’t the only item people were talking about. A second enthused: “Omg mcpops are awesome.” Meanwhile, a third said: “Miss the ice creams.”
