Manchester United have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2024/25 season. Available to buy now, the Adidas-designed shirt will be worn by the likes of Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Ferdandes during the Reds’ upcoming campaign.

The latest shirt features combinations of red that have been blended to form a light to dark red gradient that runs down the main body of the shirt. The side of the shirt features a “flame” red insert and a “seasonal” round neck, with Adidas’ iconic three-stripes running down the shoulders.

The shirt is the first to feature Snapdragon as the club’s new sponsor, whose logo is centered on the front of the shirt in a contrasting white under an embroidered United badge. According to the official Man United announcement, the new home shirt takes inspiration from the one worn by the Busby Babes in 1952, which was made from reflective material to aid visibility on the pitch during the early years of evening matches played under floodlights.

Commenting on the latest shirt, Adidas SVP of Product and Design Sam Handy said: “The color red is consistently fundamental to the club’s DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and for 2024/25 we wanted to do something a little different.

“We have taken inspiration from a little-known shirt from the 1952 tour, which is a fantastic early example of creative design in match wear and was worn by some of the club’s most legendary players. Its colour-changing appearance was a major influence on this season’s modern take on the home kit, designed to capture attention from all angles on the pitch.”

Two versions of the new jersey have been produced, the “Authentic” on-field edition with HEAT.RDY technology and the fan version with AEROREADY technology. Both styles are available to purchase online now from a variety of retailers including Fanatics.

Younger fans can bag the kids’ home shirt for £55, or £60 for the long sleeve, while a full ‘Baby Kit’ costs £40. Man United have also launched their new 2024/25 home goalkeeper shirt, featuring a mix of blue and green hues, which is available for £85 for men and £60 for kids.

Fans can also pick up the new ‘Authentic’ team shorts, available in white or black for £50, while the white fan shorts cost £38. Children’s home shorts are available for £30.

Alternatively, JD Sports customers can also pick up the Man United 2024/25 home shirt for £80, while Sports Direct is offering it for £79.99. Sports Direct has also dropped the price of the club’s 2023/24 shirts to £40, half the price of its usual price tag of £79.99 for both home and away shirts.
