The man was found dead at a home in North London
A man charged with the murder of a pensioner has been named. Billy O’Reilly, 53 , of Royal Free Square, Islington, has been charged with murder.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (Saturday, March 7). The 82-year-old man died at a home on West End Lane at around 11.25am on Thursday, (March 5).
Officers had responded to concerns for pensioner’s welfare. But when they arrived at the house, paramedics confirmed he had died. The arrest took place inside the property, within minutes of police arriving on scene.

Local police lead Chief Superintendent Jason Stewar said yesterday: “A team of detectives are working quickly to establish the full picture surrounding this man’s death. At this time, officers are treating this as an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community.
“We ask anyone who was around West End Lane at this time, who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to speak to us.”
