Buying a place of your own in London could be more attainable than you think.

Croydon has been crowned the most affordable location for home hunters in the capital, with research from Zoopla indicating that you can get on the property ladder for as little as £76,000 in a shared-ownership home.

That could mean a 5% deposit of just £3,800 with the right lender.

For those uninitiated, Croydon offers a unique blend of urban vibrancy and the presence of parks like Lloyd Park and Addington Hills offer a rejuvenating escape from city life.

With three stations, a wide choice of brand-new flats and a plethora of things to do, the location ticks so many boxes. Here are just a few of the property options out there.

Crescent Gardens
