Lee Nelson versus Manchester City

On March 16 2013, Brodkin – in character as Premiership footballer Jason Bent – began warming up with the Manchester City players, who were preparing for a game at Goodison Park against Everton. Brodkin received a six-month conditional caution for the incident.

In 2014, Brodkin attempted to join the England squad on their flight to Brazil for the World Cup.

Lee Nelson versus The X Factor

Later that year, on November 8, Brodkin invaded ITV’s The X Factor and started performing alongside Stereo Kicks.

Earlier in 2015, Brodkin stormed the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury wearing a “Lee-zus” T-shirt and began rapping with Kanye West, shouting that he wanted to “give him a hand”.  

Lee Nelson versus Sepp Blatter

In July that year Brodkin threw a pile of dollars at the then Fifa president Sepp Blatter during a press conference being held to announce reforms planned to world football’s governing body, shouting “Sepp, this is for North Korea in 2026”.
