The restaurant famed for its epic portions and, quite frankly, ridiculous pancake and burger challenges – Polo Bar – has launched a 24-hour Christmas dinner, running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The old-school British-Italian cafe can be found over on Liverpool Street, where it’s been serving mighty breakfasts and OTT milkshakes since it opened in 1959.

This December, the team are bringing the limited offer to London for just £16.50 per person. Customers receive turkey, roast potatoes, a giant pig-in-blanket, stuffing, vegetables and gravy, with the option to add bottomless Yorkshire puddings for an extra £2.

It’s also thought to be the UK’s first and only 24-hour Christmas dinner offering, although this claim hasn’t officially been verified.

Owner Phil Inzani told The Standard he thinks it’s the first 24-hour Christmas dinner in the country, commenting: ‘The best thing about December is a Christmas dinner, so why not make it available all day and all night?’.

‘We’ve had a lot of demand for roasts in general and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

‘We know, strictly speaking, Yorkshires are not always on a Christmas dinner, but we love them, so we’ve made them bottomless. If this goes well, we will then launch our 24/7 roast dinner series in the new year.’

Further extravagant items on the Christmas menu include ‘Santa’s Big Breakfast’ with streaky bacon, scrambled eggs, beans with confit onion, tomatoes, sausage and sage stuffing, toast and some pigs in blankets. Or you can opt for the ‘Polo Bar Crimbo Burger’, which is filled with slices of turkey, homemade sausage and sage stuffing, melted cheese, cranberry relish, then topped with giant pigs in blankets, and served with sage and onion chips on the side.

Better still, diners can choose to make their 24/7 roast bottomless, which includes Oreo pancakes to share for dessert, and unlimited Prosecco or Camden Hells lager for 1.5 hours at £40 per person.
