The body of a man from London has been found, after he was reported missing last week. Police were called to an area near St Margaret’s Bay in Kent shortly after midday on Tuesday, March 3. There, a man was confirmed deceased at the scene.
It is thought to be Junmo Jeong, 20, who was last seen late on Thursday, February 26 at St Pancras station, where it is understood he caught a train to the Kent coast.
A police spokesperson said: “While formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of a 20-year-old student reported missing from London on Thursday, February 26 has been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
Junmo is a first‑year menswear undergraduate at the London College of Fashion, East London. His mother, Kim Sunhee, is in Korea and was said to be frantic with worry when he was first reported missing. She told KentOnline: “He was always the son who told us everything about everywhere he went. I can’t understand this situation. If something has happened to him, I can’t bear thinking about my son suffering in some dangerous situation. It hurts so much. Junmo, my beloved son Junmo, I miss you so much.”
