It turns out that we don’t need a magic mirror on the wall to tell us where in the UK has the most beautiful houses of allbecause the home and property pros over at the Alan Boswell Group have done the research instead.

The experts dug through the depths of Pinterest (a method of research I could certainly get on board with) to uncover the UK city with the most picturesque homes. The total number of home-related pins and boards were analysed and each city was assigned a final ‘aesthetic home score’. So, where in the country actually has the most aesthetically pleasing pads, I hear you ask? Well, drum roll please…

Winning first prize in the beauty contest is (of course) our picture perfect capital city. From the dreamy pastels of Notting Hill to the swanky townhouses of Mayfair; London is filled to the brim with gorgeous properties. So gorgeous, in fact, that London bagged itself a practically perfect ‘aesthetic home score’ score of 9.63 out of 10. Because London is nothing if not an overachiever, hey?

London featured on a whopping 68,531 pins and 653 boards. And although the chances of us Londoners ever being able to afford to live in one these properties are about as slim as the teeny tiny alleyway next to the Coliseum; admiring the beautiful homes from afar is surely the next best thing, right?

Coming in at (a very close) second place is Bristol. Our pals down in the West Country bagged an impressive score of 9.08 out of 10featuring on 13,425 pins and 161 boards. Birmingham nabbed the third place spot with a score of 8.52 out of 10being found on 8,478 pins and 116 boards. Not bad at all.

In case you were wondering who else we were up against, here are the UK cities with the most beautiful homes:

  1. London
  2. Bristol
  3. Birmingham
  4. Edinburgh
  5. Manchester
  6. Sheffield
  7. Plymouth
  8. Coventry
  9. York
  10. Glasgow

So, there you have it – yet another shiny award to add to London’s ever-growing trophy cabinet. Not that we like to brag or anything…
