Founded by Eyal Shani in Tel Aviv in 2011, pita restaurant Miznon has gone worldwide with locations in Melbourne, Singapore, New York City, Paris and Vienna. Now London is being added to the list, with a Miznon planned for Soho and a higher-end sister restaurant, HaSalon, set to open in Notting Hill later this year too.
Pitas filled with fresh seasonal ingredients are the name of the game at Miznon, with signatures including the Ratatouille (with tomato perfumed eggplant, tahini, spicy & hardboiled egg) and the Falafel Burger (with tomato, pickles, sour cream & green chilli peppers). Meanwhile, HaSalon will offer modern Israeli fine dining including dishes like whole black sea bass and the popular sage-spiced pico noodles.
Miznon will be the first of the two to land on our shores, and each location offers a slightly different menu as part of the Miznon vision “to take the flavor of each city and translate it into pita” – in NYC they have the Folded Cheeseburger In a Pita, in Paris there’s the Pita Boeuf Bourguignon, and for London? We’ll just have to wait and see.
