Leslie Fhima had her heart broken by Gerry Turner during the inaugural season The Golden Bachelor, but the divorced single mom isn’t going to just lie down and take it. The 65-year-old fitness instructor met Gerry along with 21 other gorgeous single women in their 60s and 70s vying for his love. It took a while for the 72-year-old retired restaurateur to notice the shy, soft-spoken beauty. She didn’t stand out at first like diminutive 70-year-old financier Theresa Nist or 61-year-old singer Faith Martin, but Gerry noticed Leslie more and more as the season progressed.
When Gerry gave Leslie one of his last two roses, it wasn’t much of a surprise as the two seemed made for each other. When Gerry told Leslie she was “the one” for a date night, the smart money would have been on Leslie walking away with Gerry’s last rose. In the end, Gerry chooses Theresa and sends Leslie home heartbroken. As he drove away The Golden Bachelor mansion, Leslie seemed like a broken woman who would never love again, but she’s since recovered, and it’s all thanks to her secret weapon.
