Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9 is finally here and it looks like it’s going to be an interesting season. The Bravo series began in 2016 with its inaugural season and introduced now-famous actors like Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier. Hannah continued in this role for five seasons before being fired midway through the year Deck Med season 5 because Valium was involved. The series also introduced Aesha Scott, who was the main stew Below decksMalia White and Katie Flood, who performed in Winter house season 3 and several other popular ones Deck Med alums.

Despite the amazing cast, past seasons have brought, Deck Med season 8 had a few that disappear Below decks history. Kyle Viljoen and Natalya Scudder who also performed Deck Med in season 7, there was a heated argument that saw Natalya leave the boat, while Tumi Mhlongo, who was Below decks season 1, made a splash for the first time as the main character. Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 latest news

By BravoTV, Deck Med season 9 was confirmed in November 2023. The news was revealed at BravoCon in November 2023, held in Las Vegas. However, since then the season has been announced along with the cast.


On April 23rd Bravo Instagram page verified Deck Med season 9 returns in early June. Captain Sandy Yawn is apparently returning to pilot the Yacht Below decks main stew and former stew from Deck Med, Aesha. He joins the yacht as head chef, which is a step up from the last time he was in this series. Captain Sandy and his crew are once again on the yacht Mystique and this time sailing through the sea surrounding the beautiful country of Greece.

However, the return is not a shock, because with TV Deetsgrades for the item Deck Med season 8 was amazing. They had a season high of 891,000 and a season low of 735,000, still excellent for a Bravo series. Deck Med season 9 will probably do as well as season 8.

Deck Med season 9 returns to Bravo on June 3 at 9:00 PM EDT. For the premiere Deck Med season 9 was a shock because season 8 ended right before the premiere Below decks season 10. Season 8 ended at the end of January 2024, which is just over five months from the season 9 premiere.

However, the series may try to get back to its normal schedule just before the start of summer. Season 8 premiered in September 2023, which is a few months later than previous premieres. Deck Med. Nevertheless, it is not uncommon that Below decks the series stays on track in terms of its premiere.

From seasons 1-3, Deck Med premiered sometime in May, while seasons 4-7 aired in June-July. Deck Med season 8 aired later than usual, premiering on September 25, 2023. The late premiere was likely due to the premiere of the film Adventure below deck in late 2022, pushing other shows such as Sailboat below deck and Below decks back a bit.

For actors Deck Med Season 9 was confirmed by Bravo on April 23. Captain Sandy returns to the helm, and Aesha joins the series as the main captain. A surprise return is also made by Elena Dubaich, who joined Deck Med season 7 stew for a very short time when Kyle Viljoen was injured. Viewers may remember her from flirting with Reid Jenkins during season 7. In addition to the familiar Deck Med face, Season 9 will also feature a few new crew members. They are Chef Johnathan Shillingford, Bosun Iain Maclean, Deckhands Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallagher, Gael Cameron and Stew Bri Muller.


It is unclear if Aesha will return to Below Deck Down Under Season 3 after joining Below Deck Med Season 9.

Each actor is very experienced in the sailing industry. Most of the crew members have more than five years of experience. The least experienced is deckhand Nathan, but he still has two years left, which is better than being green. Overall, the crew seems equal parts experienced and fun, which is the perfect combination of a Deck Med crew.

Trailer for Deck Med season 9 was released with a new crew and release date. The trailer starts with Aesha saying that Med is where it all started for her. Then it goes to Aesha in her confessional where she talks to the producers about how she thinks “stinksThen he said he thought it was fromlingering” fart; classic Aesha! After this fun moment with the new main stew, the trailer transitions to what viewers can expect for the rest of the season.

Set in Athens, Greece, new Deck Med the crew is seen changing into and out of the slightly wild boat. Chef Johnathan receives negative feedback about his food, while Elena conveniently goes with Joe in the back of the van. There is also drama between Elena and Bri over the river, as well as the usual interior drama. Aesha even says that it is “the most difficult lead“he has ever been involved.


However, the most surprising part of the trailer is Captain Sandy seemingly proposing to his longtime girlfriend Leah Shafer. There was some insinuation that a new stew was coming to the ship, as well as a huge problem with the anchor dropping and losing control. So far away, Deck Med season 9 looks to be a must watch this year.
