London has never been short of iconic residents, but few define the word quite as literally as Christine McVie. The late, and oh-so great Fleetwood Mac keyboardist, singer, and songwriter sadly passed away back in 2022, leaving behind a pretty gorgeous gaff filled with pretty gorgeous things. After her death, McVie’s possessions were auctioned off in aid of various music-based charities. But now her estate (managed by her long-term manager, Martin Wyatt) has decided to sell her three-bedroom property in the heart of Belgravia – and it has just been put on the market for £6,950,000.
Listed on Beauchamp Estates, the property spans two floors and 2,674 square metres. The lower floor boasts an entrance hall, two reception rooms, a kitchen and a study, whilst the upper floor is where you’ll find three bedrooms (one of which comes complete with a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom) and the rooftop terrace that offers sweeping views across the neighbourhood.
Having been living in a Grade II listed manor house in Kent since the late 80s, McVie decided to return to the capital city in 2015, swapping suburban life for the beautiful Belgravia penthouse. She worked with a developer to refurbish the pad, ensuring that it was exactly as she wanted it. Despite McVie’s possessions being auctioned off a few years ago, the penthouse still features many characteristics that make its former resident pretty clear. Plenty of artwork lines the walls, the furnishings are warm and welcoming, and there are pillows on one of the beds, dedicated to McVie’s two dogs, George and Dougal.
“The London penthouse of the late Christine McVie of legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac provides privacy and security,” says Gary Hershamfounding director of Beauchamp Estates. “We anticipate the proposed sale will attract global interest from discerning buyers from around the world,” he added.
