kids Planet has acquired Yorkshire-based Twinkles Nursery Group through Christie & Co for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2003, Twinkles Nursery Group is known for its multiple award-winning, exceptional childcare.
The group comprises six high quality purpose built and purpose designed premises in North and West Yorkshire; In central Leeds and the neighboring towns of Knaresborough, Wetherby and Boston Spa.
All settings are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The group offers a total of effective operational capacity for 482 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and 56 out-of-school places.
Through Christie & Co’s long-term relationship with founder Jill Graham, Twinkles Nursery Group was launched through a confidential marketing process. Due to the exceptional nature of the business, the bidding competition between narrower buyers was tough.

“I know Twinkles will continue to be in the very capable hands of Claire and Kids Planet and I look forward to further growth. I will miss my team and wish them all the best for the future and thank them for the wonderful memories we have built together.

This latest acquisition follows The Kinderhaven Group’s acquisition of Rainbow Nursery School in Yorkshire, giving Kids Planet a very strong foothold and platform to further grow and provide high quality early childhood education and training to even more families across Yorkshire.
