In June, Joey posted several photos of him and Kelsey at the CMA festival on Instagram. The first photo is of the couple posing with country music superstar Jelly Roll, who recently embarked on a dramatic weight loss journey. The the post has a whopping 170.1,000 likes and the caption reads “It’s safe to say that CMA fest was a success 🤠” The Instagram post really highlights what Joey and Kelsey’s life has been like lately.

Joey and Kelsey had instant chemistry and it worked right away. From the moment he stepped out of the limo that first night Bachelor season 28, Kelsey immediately established herself as one of the front lines of the season. Joey was drawn to Kelsey’s warmth and beauty, and Kelsey was drawn to Joey’s easy charm. Joey even leaned over and kissed Kelsey during the first cocktail party of the season.

After a date night, Kelsey nearly gave Joey a heart attack when he sent her a note in the hotel room saying they needed to talk.


All season Joey had revealed that his the biggest fear was that he would meet the right woman, but she would leave him before the end of the season. He headed to her room to talk, bracing for the worst, but it turned out that Kelsey wasn’t trying to leave. She just missed Joey and wanted to see him, so she sent a message asking for an audience.

Joey was relieved, but the incident upset him so much that he completely shut down. It was unclear whether he would make it in time to share his last two roses out of fear. At the end, she gave Kelsey a flower and eliminated 27-year-old Rachel Nance, narrowing his options down to Kelsey and 25-year-old Daisy Kent. Eventually, Daisy realized that Joey was going to choose Kelsey, so she left him before he could leave her. After all was said and done, Joey gave his last rose to Kelsey.

Joey and Kelsey have spoken publicly about their financial situation. They appeared recently Trade secrets podcast where they discussed the difficulties of juggling their new lives with their financial responsibilities. During filming Bachelor, Joey had been so distracted that he forgot to make some credit card payments. Even though they were small payments, the mistake lowered his credit rating, which could make it harder to get an apartment.

Kelsey’s financial situation may not be much better. She was a successful junior project manager, but Kelsey recently left her job. Although she says she eventually wants to go back to work, her influencer career is taking off and may prevent her from returning to the corporate world. For now, she and Joey live off multiple credit cards while growing their brands.

Aside from their questionable financial choices, there are other signs that Joey and Kelsey might not live happily ever after. In March, just a few days away Bachelor The season 28 finale aired, and the couple went public with their relationship, Joey and Kelsey said Business Insider that they were already in couples counseling.

They explained that they I wanted to start counseling when things were good, rather than waiting for a conflict to arise. They said the counseling had helped them get to know each other. It made them realize that they have different communication styles.

While it’s admirable to seek professional help, starting a relationship this early can be a sign of trouble.


There are other signs of trouble. Bachelor season 28 ended filming in November 2023, when Joey and Kelsey got engaged. That means it’s been almost eight months since Joey put the ring on Kelsey’s finger. However, the couple doesn’t seem to be anywhere close to choosing a date.

During TV Insider interview, Kelsey and Joey both said they have a lot going on and don’t want to add pressure to planning the wedding into the mix. Maybe they’re more interested in the fame that comes with being there Bachelor pair.
