What a Joan Vassos winner means to The Golden Bachelor

Chock is a perfect match for Joan

While Guy seemed like a good match for Joan, Chock is even more perfect for her. Joan is a widow who lost her husband of 32 years, John, to pancreatic cancer in 2021. Chock suffered a similar loss when his fiancée, Kathy, died of brain cancer in 2022.

During The Golden Bachelor premiere, Chock brought Joan some chicken soup he had made for her to taste. Later, he and Joan bonded over their children and dogs, including Chock’s black lab named Super Tubbs. Chock admitted to Joan that he was lonely, and they seemed to be building a real connection.
