Jennifer Stahl became a trending topic online as fans revisit her role and scenes from the 1987 romcom hit Dirty dancing.
The late actor reached the pinnacle of his acting career as an actor in Dirty dancing before he was tragically murdered 14 years later.
He then became the subject of a Netflix documentary Murder: New Yorkstarted Law creator Dick Wolf, which delves into memories of his death and others in the Big Apple over the years.
Jennifer Stahl’s role in Dirty Dancing
The first episode of the Netflix documentary Murder: New YorkThe circumstances behind the 2001 massacre at Carnegie Del, which premiered on March 20, left five people dead.
One of them was former dancer and actress Jennifer Stahl, who died tragically when she was only 39 years old.
Among other roles Firehouse and Identity crisisperhaps the most significant performance of Stahl’s career is 1987 Dirty dancingwhere he was a backup dancer billed as the “Dirty Dancer”.
Stahl makes his first appearance in The Contours’ “Do You Love Me,” when fans see him wearing a dark striped shirt, black belt, and gray pants shortly after the Blonde Dancer gets down and dirty with a couple of different partners, and he’s also been seen rampaging through Patrick Swayze’s Johnny Next to Castle.
He later joins another partner behind Castle in “Love Man” when he shows off some of his dancing skills to Jennifer Grey’s Frances “Baby” Houseman.
Stuhl appears again at the end of the film wearing a blue dress with black polka dots as she and the rest of the cast embrace the final iconic dance sequence set to “Time of My Life”.
In a massive group photo with Swayze and Gray front and center, Stuhl is only a few feet behind Swayze as he shows off his dancing skills.
All in all, Stuhl only has a few minutes of screen time Dirty dancing between these different dance sequences.
Murder: New York is currently streaming in its entirety on Netflix. Dirty dancing is available to stream with a Hulu subscription and Amazon Prime Video premium subscription.
