Sister wives star Janelle Brown has lived a more fulfilling life since the tragedy decided to trade the traditional Fourth of July celebration for family in Yellowstone. Janelle, who was married to Kody Brown for more than 30 years before their divorce in late 2022, has been doing everything she can to live a happy and full life after the tragic death of her son Garrison Brown. Garrison, who died in early 2024, was part of a large, plural family that has been documented Sister wives for the past few decades.

In a recent post on Janelle’s Instagram, she shared a beautiful photo of herself and her daughters celebrating the Fourth of July holiday in Yellowstone instead of attending more traditional festivities.

Janelle went to Yellowstone with her daughters


Janelle’s trip to Yellowstone was documented in a few different Instagram posts, featuring her daughters Savanah and Madison, as well as many more of the Brown family. After sharing another post days earlier with Christine Brown, David Woolley and some of the family’s children, including Christine’s daughters Aspyn Thompson and Gwendlyn Brown and Leon Brown, Meri’s child, with partner Audrey Kriss. The family has been exponentially closer since Garrison’s deathand their journey together is a nice reminder of how things used to be Sister wives was such a big part of their lives.


While Janelle has worked hard to keep Garrison’s memory alive, she has also fostered the relationships she has with her other children during this difficult time. On her social media accounts, Janelle has documented several of her travels and made sure her family is involved as much as possible. Having visited Disneyland, North Carolina and Las Vegas in recent months, Janelle has divided her time evenly.
