It’s Bagels will open a second location in Notting Hill in August.

Founder Dan Martensen, a “born and bred New Yorker”, launched It’s Bagels as a pop-up and delivery service in 2022 at Caravan Brewbar in Islington. The first permanent office was opened in September 2023.

Since then, the bagel brand has racked up hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok and draws daily queues, earning features in magazines such as Esquire and FT HTSI. To meet the growing demand, the team is now releasing It’s Bagels 2.0.

Located on the corner of Westbrook Grove, the new 500 square meter venue seats 14 guests and 16 on the outdoor terrace. The Notting Hill site has the same classic offerings: freshly baked homemade rolls with plain or spiced smears, smoked fish, deli salads and a variety of hot and cold drinks.

Opening on August 5, the new store will feature signature rolls including Works (cottage cheese, lox, onion, capers, lemon, tomato) and BEC (bacon, egg and cheese). It also offers permanent versions of limited-edition flavors like the Salt Beef Bagel (pulled salt beef, French mustard, house pickles, shaved red onion, kewpie mayo, melted Swiss cheese).

Martensen said: “When we opened last year, we could only hope for a positive response. We knew we loved the product, but it’s been really amazing to see London embrace us. We couldn’t be more excited to open another location in Notting Hill, a neighborhood we love.
