Emily Cooper’s (Lily Collins) new love, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), in Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2 comes from a small, beautiful Italian town called Solitano.

Marcello is a charismatic Italian guy who invites Emily to Rome to spend her free time from work. He’s more than just a handsome guy, as his family owns a cashmere company in Solitano.

Emily in Paris Season 4, episode 10 finally introduced the beauty of Solitano.

Marcello tells Emily that the small beautiful town is “always known for the special goats that produce our cashmere” and all the inhabitants of the village work for the Muratori. His father wants to share the company’s success with them.

Solitano has a special look full of amazing plants and ruins that present a vintage feel. It even has its own school, library and in-house theater for its residents.

Unfortunately, Solitano is not a real town in Italy. It was made just for the series to show the Muratori’s booming business and reinforce how successful and exclusive their luxury band is.

Where in Paris did Emily film her season 4 Solitano scene?

A report by The Journal revealed that Solitano’s scenes were filmed in the village of Ostia Antica, Italy. It is a small town near the Rome International Airport.

When Emily arrives in the fictional small town in episode 10, the beautiful archway she walks through is an iconic part of Ostia Antica.

At Maria’s birthday lunch where the villagers, Marcello and Emily gather to celebrate in the same episode, viewers can see Julius II’s castle in the background.

Located in Ostia Antica, the historic castle originally functioned as a fortress built to guard the quay of the Tiber riverbed. Some have described it as a good example of Renaissance military architecture.

In addition to the two iconic sites of Ostia Antica, the city is full of ancient Roman ruins.
