Eagle-eyed fans may have spotted someone who looks like Lucky Blue Smith Ugly movie, but is it him?
Netflix’s adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s young adult novel is set in a dystopian world where teenagers have been surgically transformed into “beauties.”
Joey King, Keith Powers, and Chase Stokes are just a few of the actors appearing in the film, but there are a few cameos from recognizable faces. Ugly likewise.

Lucky Blue Smith is a well-known international model who was signed at the young age of 12 and has since modeled in campaigns for the world’s biggest fashion brands. But can he add a cameo Ugly also on the list?
Lucky Blue Smith appears at the beginning Ugly. His scene takes place when Tally (Joey King) and Peris (Chase Stokes) try to spy on the Pretties’ upscale casino night party.
Their technology allows them to zoom into a building across the street and see the faces of people at the party, one of which is Smith’s.
It’s a blink and you’ll know it, but Netflix confirmed it there is international model Uglycaptions Smith’s scene on TikTok as follows: “Lucky Blue Smith is in DRUMS????”
Smith is also officially listed in the IMDb credits and even names the actor’s character: “Jax.”

Lucky Blue Smith only has a short show Uglyit’s an important thing.
The scene shows the difference between the life of the Beautiful and what makes it so desirable for the Ugly.
“They’re having so much fun. Not one person looks awkward or out of place, or… doesn’t smile. I wish I was there so much it hurts.” Tally says looking at the Prettys.
So it makes sense that Smith, a famous model, would be cast in this role as it further reinforces the perfection and luxury that the Pretties seem to have.
Maybe if the movie gets a sequel (read more about the possibility Ugly 2 here), Smith’s character may return and play an even bigger role.
Ugly is one of a handful of actors on Smith’s resume. Prior to this, the model had appeared in Lady Gaga’s music video for “I Want Your Love” and led the 2016 romantic drama, Love Eternal.
