Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has met the Iranian President and other officials including leaders of Revolutionary Guards on the second day of his visit to Iran.
Field Marshal Asim Munir along with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Wednesday, where he was received by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. Field Marshal Asim Munir met Abbas Araqchi on the first day of his arrival in Tehran.
On Thursday, the second day of his stay in Tehran, the field marshal had a busy day and met with the Iranian president, parliament speaker and other officials.

The field marshal met Iranian President Masoud Pizshakyan on Thursday.
The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department (ISPR) has not yet released details regarding this meeting, however, photos and details of these meetings are being shared by the Iranian government and its affiliated news agencies.
According to the details released by the X account linked to the Iranian government, Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir said in a meeting with President Masoud Pizshakyan that ‘although this war will end, the region will not return to its previous conditions. All countries must work together for reconstruction, stability and lasting peace.’
According to the statement issued by the Iranian government, the army chief added that ‘Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey supported diplomatic efforts during this crisis. Iran and Pakistan have deep religious, historical and cultural ties. A deal could be done soon. This war brings nothing but destruction and loss.’
According to the statement, President Pizshakyan said that Pakistan’s responsible role in moving towards ceasefire is noteworthy. Iran wants peace, stability and brotherly relations in the region.
He said that the unity of the Muslim Ummah will defeat the goals of the Israeli government.
The president further said that the Iranian people do not trust the United States because of repeated violations of promises. Iran insists on protecting its rights within international law and values Pakistan’s role in mediation, the ceasefire process and hosting the Iranian delegation in Islamabad.

Speaker Parliament Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf
Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir met Speaker of Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqir Ghalibaf on Thursday. Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf led the Iranian delegation in the negotiations with the United States in Islamabad.
According to Iran’s official Press TV, during the meeting, Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf said that the violation of American promises is a major obstacle to peace in the region.

Qalibaf reiterated that building comprehensive relations with neighboring countries is a stable and decisive policy of the Islamic Republic.
He said, ‘I hope that those who started the war and are now desperately trying to stop it, will abandon the mistrustful attitudes of the past.’
A visit to Khatam al-Anbia central headquarters of Revolutionary Guards
On Thursday, Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Khatam al-Anbia central headquarters of Revolutionary Guards in Iran, where he met with the commander.
During the meeting, he discussed with the IGRC Commander the steps taken under the framework of ending the war and his recent talks in Tehran.
The situation in the region and the prospects of peace and stability were discussed between the parties.

According to Press TV Iran, during the meeting, the top Iranian commander told Field Marshal Asim Munir that ‘all the weapons we used in this war were locally prepared by Iranian youth. Today, no one doubts that the armed forces are ready for all kinds of defense in case of any bad move by the enemy.
Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized on the occasion that the ongoing efforts to end the war and reduce tension should be continued.
