I’m sure of it Welcome to Plathville should be canceled as its authenticity is questionable. I’ve been watching the show since the beginning and have expertise in all the on and off screen drama. Welcome to Plathville Season 6 is currently airing and the series has been captivating viewers since its premiere in November 2019. The TLC reality show follows the Plath family, which consists of parents Barry and Kim Plath and eight of their ten children Ethan, Moriah, Micah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia and Mercy Plath.

There are 10 Plath children in total, but the middle son, Joshua Plath, died in 2008, and the eldest sibling, Hosanna Plath, has decided not to participate in the exhibition. Plath’s parents raised their children in a religious and very conservative environment, and Kim educated all the children. Barry and Kim took the children safe on a farm in the small town of Cairo, Georgia. Over the past six seasons, the dynamics of the Plath family and Kim and Barry’s willingness to accept change have changed a lot. However, I believe eagerly The show now has parts that no longer make it quality reality TV.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows you can stream or watch right now.

Ethan and Olivia are no longer together

Welcome to Plathville story is broken

Eldest son Ethan only married Olivia Plath in Welcome to Plathville season 1. Their early marriage was a happy one, as they both broke out of their separate conservative worlds and tried a lot of new things together. Olivia had more worldly experience than Ethan when they got married because he was an established wedding photographer. They lived together in Cairo in the early years before moving to Tampa with Moriah and Olivia’s brother and later to Minnesota on their own.

As the seasons progress, TLC The couple Ethan and Olivia broke up and started hating each other for various reasons. Namely the fact that Olivia despised Kim and Barry and the way Ethan was raised. He was overly critical of Ethan’s views. Ethan wanted his relationship with his family and his marriage to Olivia to work, which made for good reality TV. Another negative element in their marriage was Ethan’s unyielding nature against traditional values and Olivia insists that Ethan isn’t so tight-lipped.

In the end, it became apparent to me that their differences were in Olivia because they wanted nothing to do with the Plaths, and their ever-divergent views and desires for life caused them to drift apart. Ethan and Olivia’s marriage has been the main storyline for all six seasons, and now that they’ve split, Welcome to Plathville the story is broken.

Olivia now has her own storyline in the show, which definitely takes away from the quality and original intent of the show and makes the show more chaotic.

The drama between Olivia and The Plaths is over

The core welcome to the Plathville drama is over

Along with the breakup between Ethan and Olivia went the core drama Welcome to ToPlathvilleand so did the beef between Olivia and the Plath family. Olivia ended up falling out with everyone in Season 5, which seemed fine for Olivia personally in terms of her boundaries, but I don’t think it was good for the drama of the reality show. Olivia first had friction with Kim and Barry over how they were raising their children. Kim and Olivia’s differences increased when Olivia accused Kim of using Ethan’s credit cards.

From there, all of Plath’s children, minus Ethan, rallied behind their mother to deny the accusations. Additionally, Moriah and Olivia had an argument over Moriah accusing Olivia of stealing her music, and Micah had harsh views of Olivia as a toxic and unrelenting person. Many exciting moments in between Olivia and the Plaths were the show’s bread and butterand without it, the show doesn’t seem to lack any worthwhile drama.

Now Olivia is completely in her own world on the show, and the only drama coming her way is how her sister Lydia Grace feels about her new relationship. The viewers will be introduced in the next episode. Welcome to Plathville needed Olivia in the mix with Plath for propriety. Now I believe the show is grasping at strawswhich I think means it should be cancelled.

Kim & Barry’s Split changed the show

Plath’s family survives

in Welcome to Plathville in season 4, Kim and Barry announced to the world and their children that they were separating and filing for divorce. I know this was a big blow to the show, but it took it in an interesting direction with the recently changed dynamics of the Plath family. Now in season six, though, I’m sure the division is played. Barry and Kim no longer hold tightly to their controlling and authoritarian parenting.

While I think it’s been nice to see the couple change, it’s not a strong enough story to sustain the show.

Welcome to Plathville, which has had several manufacturing moments

Has the value of the program decreased because of it?

Another big argument with TLC‘s Welcome to Plathville which I must bring up is increased amount of manufactured drama which has been introduced to viewers in season 6. In one episode, Olivia had a set-up scene involving a sex education party she “thrown” with people who happened to be Micah’s old friends from Los Angeles. Additionally, the Plath family reunites as a whole unit twice this season despite the breakup, and those situations make it seem like the production is putting those situations in place to further the show’s agenda now that Olivia is out of Plath’s picture.

Prepared or predetermined scenes are not a good direction for a reality show to go because I know it pushes away fans who want to see real drama and real moments.

I’m sure of it Welcome to Plathville swings this season, and The show doesn’t have enough dramatic value in itself to merit a sequel from the series. However, many fans have become attached to watching the Plath family grow before their eyes, and it is possible that Season 6 may not be the end, although I believe there are plausible reasons for it to end.

Welcome to Plathville airs Tuesday at 10:00 PM EDT on TLC.
