Big brother 26 houseguest Angela Murray has been making some selfless moves in Week 9, but I’m convinced he only did them to change his image in an attempt to win the $50,000 fan-voted America’s Favorite Houseguest award, but the fans aren’t happy with that. When Big brother 26 started, Angela seemed like she could be an inspirational houseguest. As a 50-year-old mother and grandmother, she belonged to an underrepresented group in the program. When he won the first Head of Household (HOH) competition, I cheered him on, hoping to see an older person go far Big brother.
However, Angela soon had several overwhelming outbursts directed at her friend Big brother 26 house guestsand he seemed to be a producer factory. I was further convinced of this when it was revealed that Angela has appeared in other CBS shows including House calls with Dr. Phil, Let’s make a dealand The price is right. After many weeks of Angela drama, in Week 9, she made some moves that I think prove that she wants to win over fans to be voted America’s Favorite Houseguest. However, I also know that if this is his plan, it won’t work.

Angela bowed out of the HOH race to give Leah Peters and Cam Sullivan-Brown a chance
The Big brother 26 the week 9 HOH competition was an endurance competition where the houseguests had to stand on a stand and use a stick to hold a big marshmallow in place. The goal was to be the last guest in the house. After 9 hours and 43 minutes of competition, Angela announced that while she could have lasted longer, she bowed out to allow the remaining contestants, Cam Sullivan-Brown and Leah Peters, to battle it out for HOH..
Angela said as she confessed that she had been HOH twice already Big brother 26so he had received letters from home and all the benefits of the mission twice before. She said she wants to give Camille or Leah the same chance. Although this seems like a selfless act by Angela, I think he actually used this as an opportunity to change his image in the game.
Not only did Angela benefit from this move because she made a deal with Cam and Leah that they would all keep each other safe since they were the last three houseguests in the competition, but I think she was also trying to make herself look like a martyr to the viewers. I believe that Angela was trying to manipulate the viewers by not only making herself look selfless, but reminding the viewers that she has won HOH twice before.
After being nominated for eviction five times, Angela must know her days may be numbered Big brother 26 house. Since he’s unlikely to win the $750,000 top prize or even the $75,000 runner-up prize, I’m convinced he’ll try to beat America instead to win the $50,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest. I think that’s why he would relinquish the reigns of HOH in week 9, especially if he really thought he could last longer in the competition. Otherwise, Angela would have wanted to keep herself safe at any cost.
Angela saved Kimo Apaka Week 9 with attraction
Angela hoped to prove to Kimo that she wanted her in the game
During Big brother 26 weeks 7 and 8, Angela voted Kimo Apaka out of the house over Joseph Rodriguez and Quinn because he believed they didn’t have the votes to keep him. However, he ended up staying both times. Angela explained to Kimo that even though she was on the wrong side of the vote, she wanted to keep him there, but she didn’t believe him because he voted her out twice.
In week 9, Angela overcame the attraction and saved Kimo from a haircut to prove to him that she wanted him in the house.. This was another example of Angela making a game move out of her kindness. He repeatedly told his colleagues and in the diary room that he follows his heart.
Angela also said it would benefit her game to save Kimo, so it wasn’t a completely selfless move. He wanted HOH Leah to nominate T’kor Clottey as a replacement candidate alongside Rubina Bernabe, which is exactly what happened. Angela saved Kimo’s better position in the game. However, I believe that Angela also thought that this move could have been seen as her turning over a new leaf.

During the first few weeks Big brother 26, Angela’s outrageous antics made her the bully of the house. When he was HOH in week 1, he became paranoid because he thought his collective alliance was trying to trick him. He called them in front of the whole house and told them that their performance was like the actors in a low-budget movie.
During the same tirade, Angela quickly turned her attention to Matt Hardeman, who she viciously attacked. She believed Matt threatened her when he said he would come after her if she nominated him that week. Angela called him, “Crazy Eyes” and even said that his mother would see what a “disrespectful brat” he was. Matt was brought to tears by this. Another example of Angela being bullied was when he mocked Lisa Weibtraub’s walk and called her stupid.
As a Big brother superfan, Angela needs to know that former houseguests have paid serious consequences for bullyingfrom losing fan support to losing his real-life job. I think his week 9 goodwill gestures may be his attempt to make up for his past bad behavior, which is admirable if true. However, I also think he might have a more manipulative plan in mind, which is to try to get viewers to forget how he was a bully in the first half of the game so they’ll vote him America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Unlike Big brother houseguests who are isolated and unable to use technology and social media, viewers have 24/7 access to the show for footage. While the sting of Angela’s actions may have lessened for the houseguests now that Matt and Lisa have been evicted and are focusing on other things, viewers have a chance to watch these clips every day. I’m not going to forget how Angela behaved at the beginning of the game and I’m certainly not going to reward this behavior with my favorite American houseguests.

First, Tucker Des Lauriers saved him from a pay cut instead of himself in a failed attempt to backdoor Quinn Martin. Leah then saved him to make sure he was on the jury because she thought he was going to vote for her. In the end, Angela was saved by Makensy Manbeck when she and HOH Chelsie Baham decided to evict Quinn that week because she was a bigger threat than the original candidates Angela and Kimo.
I think it was time for Angela to make a move that benefited someone else in the house after being bailed out three times by her mate. Saving Kimo was the perfect way for him to show viewers that he wasn’t a passive player who needed other houseguests to rescue him in order to advance himself in the game. In this case, Angela made her own decision, and she made herself look good.

Many felt he should have been removed for bullying
While Angela may think she’s changing her image with these Week 9 moves, the truth is the fans are sick of him. Most Big brother comments on social media posts are full of fans saying they’re fed up with Angela’s antics, and some have even said they’ve stopped watching the show and/or live streams because of her. A lot of people think he should have been removed from the game when he bullied Matt.
In the comment section 16.9 Big brother In an Instagram post, one fan wrote, “Seeing Angela in the house has ruined the whole season for me. She should have been gone from the beginning.” Another added, “I agree, Angela is the worst and they just let her stay for no reason. Before they know it, she’ll be the bottom two and everyone will be like ‘I don’t know how that happened.’ Another fan wrote: “Angela bullied Matt and that should have gotten him kicked out.“
Although Angela has many supporters, I think most fans will not forget her behavior at the beginning of the game when it comes time to vote for America’s Favorite Houseguest. He is like a loose cannon and is constantly at odds with the other houseguests. I feel it Big brother 26 fans will not be satisfied with Angela’s attempt to change her image. If Angela was trying to win over America’s Favorite Houseguest with her Week 9 moves, I think her plan won’t work.
