IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will sign their first intercontinental hotel in Manchester.

The 264-room hotel owned by Blue Manchester Hotel Limited is scheduled to be transformed into a fully interlaced manchester-DeanSgate by 2027 and will continue to operate throughout the transition.

The hotel is located in the 47-storey Beetham Tower, one of the highest buildings in the UK outside London.

22 floors, the hotel takes place to cover extensive renovation in the indoor pool, sauna and steam room, fitness center and 18 conference rooms.

This is the fifth intercontinental property of the UK and Ireland, which is associated with its flagship hotel in London’s Park Lane, along with Edinburgh, Dublin and London Greenwich.

The announcement follows Joanna Kurowska, CEO of the UK and Ireland, who reveals last week’s intention to launch a luxury hotel “outside London, but one core under our luxury brand”.

Willemijn Gels, Vice -President, European, IHG Hotels & Resorts Vice -President, said: “Signing inter -continental Manchester -DeanSgate means a significant milestone in the UK and I development strategy when we bring the world’s first and Ikon’s important city -high We are more luxurious and lifestyle – we are confirmed as a leading luxurious hospitality player in Manchester.

The intercontinental Manchester – DeanSgate becomes part of IHG’s expanding luxury and lifestyle range, which includes more than 105 operational hotels and 72 other developments throughout Europe.

The United Kingdom and Ireland pipeline currently includes 33 hotels with plans for four indigo hotels in Shepherd’s Bush (London), London, Torquay and Gloucester, all of which are to be opened by December as part of the ongoing regional expansion.

Kurowska said: “Regeneration projects that have been introduced to help these non-paramount cities are more attractive to local residents and local tourism is the implementation of the Pandemia Post-pandemic world.

“This aroused that investing in a local council around the country is the opportunity to raise the profile of the city. Indigo is not the only brand that has done this, but Indigo has this ability to tell this story very well.”

According to Kurowska, several Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn and Voco are also in the development tube.

Six senses in Whitele in Bayswater in London, the first of the Luxury Sensory branded resort, the hotel maker said, “It opens soon, but I cannot confirm the exact date.”

The 110 -room luxury hotel was first announced in 2019 and the original opening day was planned for 2023.

The project has experienced several delays and the latest opening day is planned in the summer.

Last week, IHG also announced that it would sign a duplex property in Waterloo, London, which is expected to be opened in the last quarter of 2028.

The development of 182-room Voco London-Waterloo and the 172-room hotel Indigo & Suites London, the latter is the first of its kind in Europe.

This development strengthens the footprint of IHG in the luxury and lifestyle industry, based on the recent acquisition of Ruby Hotels in Munich’s cities.

The IRHG currently manages 363 hotels throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, and worldwide, the group monitors over 6,000 hotels in 20 brands in more than 100 countries.
