A huge new venue along Hackney’s canals is showing the Euro on the big screen outside. Hackney Bridge is home to a range of restaurants, pubs and bars as well as studios, shops and workplaces.

The massive new arena will show all Euro 2024 matches on a big screen outside – but you’ll need to get tickets.

I visited the venue for the match between England and Slovenia and loved the atmosphere. Fans can enjoy drinks from the Hangar Bar while enjoying the sunny weather and views.

For £10 you get access to the football viewing area and you even get a bucket hat to enjoy the sun – which was still shining at 8pm – without worrying about getting burnt later. You can still enjoy food and drink outside without a ticket.

Hackney Bridge will show all Euro 2024 matches overlooking the canal

Hackney Bridge spans the size of three football pitches, with a large garden, long tables for dining and a street food court. The hall offers a variety of delicious options, from tacos to Filipino BBQ and curries.

I tried the handmade pizzas from Made in Puglia, including eggplant and salted ricotta, and truffle and mushroom. Both pizzas, priced at £9.50 each, were incredibly tasty and perfect for the warm weather.

The rich flavors and authentic Neapolitan dough make these pizzas a must-try. My favorite was the mushroom pizza, with its amazing combination of truffle and cheese.

On colder days, you can sit inside in the street dining room. But I sat outside, in the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset!

Despite the underwhelming England game, Hackney Bridge did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend watching the next Euro 2024 match here!
