Located in an unlikely corner of North London is Taylor Swift’s favorite, and now iconic, takeaway shop. Kentish Delight rose to fame after Taylor filmed part of her video for End Game with Ed Sheeran and Future in the takeaway, as well as other north London locations close to her heart.

Unfortunately, the love affair between Taylor and London was not meant to be, as the pop star moved back to the US after she and ex Joe Alwyn broke up.

But with The Eras Tour now arriving in London on Friday, June 21, rumors quickly spread that Taylor was hitting up her old London haunts. In fact, Kentish Delight owner Ahmed Khan, 55, exclusively revealed that Taylor’s team placed an order for just under £100 the other day.

I knew I had to try this kebab that was so good an international pop star kept coming back again and again.

“A chicken doner with heaps of garlic mayo and slaw, please boss.”

I watched Ahmed assemble the doner, fill up the takeout box with piles of meat, bread, salad and Taylor’s extra helping of garlic mayo, my mouth is watering already. She definitely knows how to make a kebab properly.

While waiting for my lunch I see a familiar face on the wall. On the wall were Taylor and one of Ahmed’s colleagues from when she shot her End Game video in 2017. The takeaway is also clearly proud of its famous connections.

When I received my order, I had high hopes right away. The portion was generous and smelled so appetizing.

With one bite, the chicken doner was an instant 10 out of 10 – it tasted fresher than the usual stuff you get when you go home for a sober brat after a night out.

Crispy and flavorful meat with the right balance of added bits and bobs – a kebab doesn’t have to be complicated. I think you never want anything too flamboyant over something slightly fatty and filling. It wouldn’t quite cut the mustard.

But the fact that I enjoyed this döner sober was a testament to its quality despite its simplicity.

It was also a reasonable price for London – £7.90 for a small – with a large setting you back just under a tenner.

I can definitely see why Taylor would come back time and time again. I’d be pretty happy if this was my local kebab shop.
